AFOA Ontario to Attend AFOA Canada’s 23rd National Conference in Halifax

ACROSS OUR TRADITIONAL TERRITORIES, ONTARIO – AFOA Ontario has issued the following statement regarding AFOA Canada’s 23rd National Conference, taking place from February 25 to 27, 2025, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
AFOA Ontario is pleased to announce its participation in AFOA Canada’s 23rd National Conference, taking place from February 25 to 27, 2025, at the Halifax Convention Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Representing AFOA Ontario will be President Glenda Henderson and members of the Board of Directors. We extend warm greetings to all AFOA members from Ontario, including elected leaders, senior managers, and other professionals attending this national gathering under the theme “Empowering People for the Next Generation.”
The conference will bring together 1,200 leaders, administrators, and change-makers to explore strategies that strengthen Indigenous finance, management, and governance. Attendees can participate in workshops, plenary sessions, and networking opportunities, enhancing professional development and collaboration.
AFOA Ontario encourages members to engage in conference sessions addressing key topics such as artificial intelligence (AI), community wealth, generational workplace dynamics, and ethical leadership. These discussions will provide valuable insights for Indigenous professionals dedicated to advancing our communities.
